Successful Event!

Whew! It's over! Didn't move a lot today - and from what I heard from others, they weren't moving much, either!

The "workshop/social" was a success! Tom and I have already made notes of some things we'd do differently if (IF!) we were ever to do one again. And I've asked others for their thoughts and am collecting those as well.

Lots of thankyou emails have come in today - all very nice comments about the day.

We danced all day... Had six teaches (I taught Frankie Fever by Maddison Glover to a room full of dancers!)... And ate, and ate, and ate.

We were so tired! I think we were basically done dancing about 9:00... I know I was alone in the building by 10 and home by 11 after cleaning up and putting things away.

But - it's done! I've now hosted my first line dance workshop event! It was fun!

The joys of a new wall!!!

So now we get to prepare for next weekend's workshop - by learning to dance all our favorites to a NEW front wall!

We've turned the hall around and have the front wall now facing the pool/kitchen - and will spend this whole week (starting with this morning's practice) dancing to the "new" front wall. Hopefully by Saturday, we've got it figured out!

I actually think it wasn't that bad once we got going...  I know for me, whereever the music is becomes my front wall.  So as long as my music is where I want the front wall to be - I'm pretty good. This week will be a great test!!!
