SUNSHINE IN LINE 2026

As always, Rachael McEnaney-White knows how to pull off a TOP-NOTCH event. AWESOME line-up of instructors! INCREDIBLE schedule of events! FANTASTIC volunteers and organization! It is the highlight event of my dance travels! FABULOUS DJ to keep the dances flowing around the clock!

From Thursday night through to mid-day Sunday, I was on my feet learning and dancing to my heart’s content! I took lessons from Rachael (of course - she teaches along with everything else she does to pull off this event!); Maddison (so good to see you again! And to meet Brett and Gus!!!); Gary (always a good time!); Roy and Fiona (the show was amazing; Rian is growing up so fast!); Marlon & Romaine (WOW!!!); Mark and Chris (you guys are so fun!); Bradley (great teach!); Joey (love my football buddy!);   Guillaume (love your flexibility!); and I finally just purchased the virtual pass so I could pick up on all the other main ballroom teaches that I just didn’t have time for! I already know I missed some absolute favorites of others that I’m going to have to go back and learn later!

I’ve asked my students who attended this event (some for the first time and were just blown away by it all!!!) to let me know what their favorites were - they are struggling to narrow down the list to just the few I’m allowing them to submit. LOL!

I know Carol has asked people to submit their favorites from the weekend - I just can’t do it. I liked everything I took and am having a hard time figuring out what I’m going to teach first! Corner Table, Big Boom, Behind The Glass, Date Night, Jalla, About To Go Down, Pink Margaritas, Dooset Daram, 4 Drop, Hit Your Stride. How can I possibly pick???

The Choreography Competition was fun to watch. Some incredible talent out there! And the show!!! CountryVive and the instructors did such an amazing performance! When I talked to Hollee the next morning, she was just beaming after her performance with daddy Shane. Just fabulous!

I can’t say enough good things about this event. It’s an ABSOLUTE MUST for all dancers to attend!

Thank you, Rachael!

Porcelain & Pain (Lai) by Rhoda Lai - again, watch for the step sheet to come out on this one!

Lose Control Tonight (Lai) by Esmerelda van de Pol, Rhoda Lai, Dirk Leibing - happy improver dance

Haunted (Dembiac) by John Dembiac & Guyton Mundy - great nightclub!

Do Si Dough (Lai) by Maddison Glover & Jo Thompson Szymanski -  fun high beginner dance

The other workshops included:

90 Proofin’ (Robinson) by John Robinson

Drink Champagne (Robinson) by Maddison Glover

Florida Beaches and Where You At (Thornton) both by Trevor Thornton & Brandon Zahorsky

Spring Shake Break (Robinson) by John Robinson

Getaway Car and Country Tightrope (Thornton) by Brandon Zahorsky & Trevor Thornton/Darren Bailey

Loved You Better (Lai) by Rhoda Lai & Guillaume Richard

On Purpose (Thornton) by Trevor Thornton & Brandon Zahorsky

John and his crew of volunteers provided a taco bar for lunch with rice and beans and TONS of fruits and desserts (we won’t talk about the margaritas that were ENJOYED by many!!!)

We had eleven dancers from Southwest Florida attending - and really happy to see so many friends from other areas of Florida. Always great to catch up with everyone! If you’ve never attended, it might be something you’d like to check out next year!
